Favorite strength training exercises

This page acts as index for pages that describes and depicts strength training exercises by body part.  There are many variations for almost any strength training exercise, but when you are starting out and even later on you will find that the basics always pay dividends.  For example say you are working your chest having two or three fundamental exercises is all you need.  Don’t get hung up with killing yourself doing dozens of sets, it should be about quality over quantity and using progressive resistance to challenge yourself that really builds muscle.
